Why do I have a Pure Wand you ask? Because I trust Epiphora with my cunt. The lot of it. She didn’t steer me wrong with my most cherished Comet Wand and with the Pure Wand she guided to me to light. The light of stainless steel. The light of G-Spot magic. The light of slick subltey and palpable orgasmic realness. I saved my pennies, and treated myself to one. And trust me, the Pure Wand is a treat.
What is it and what’s it supposed to do?
The Pure Wand is a dildo with two curved heads. One is large and more bulbous, the other slender but still with a ball on the end. Designed for G-Spot/Prostate stimulation, the Pure Wand is made from 100% stainless steel. It’s a heavy hitter coming in at roughly a pound and a half. (Meaning it works great as a light arm weight and self-defense tool). It’s super slick, and a teeny bit of lube goes a long way.
The Pure Wand arrives, as it should, in what might only be described as a “princess box.” It’s a lovely wooden box with a pink satin lining. It is perfect. In every single way. Being the book slut that I am, I do also love a good manual. In this case, it’s just a sleek as the toy itself. It has sweet little tips, and a stunning glamor shot of the Pure Wand in all its wet glory.
Length: 8″ (I only use 4 or less in actual use)
Diameter: Small ball “1 Large 1 1/2
Lube Usage: Requires significantly less lube than most toys I’ve tested.
Cleaning and Care: Stainless steal is easy to clean and sterilize. It is hypoallergenic and doesn’t contain toxic chemicals. To sterilize, wash down with an anti-bacterial soap, a gentle toy cleaner, or put into a pot of boiling water
Does it do what it’s supposed to?
The Pure Wand feels great immediately upon insertion. Forgive me, but I do feel the need to compare it to the Comet Wand. The Comet Wand is made of a very matte silicone, so it drags and can be uncomfortable to insert. I don’t experience this with the Pure Wand. One of the wonders of the Pure Wand is its weight. Something I never really thought would factor into my sessions, yet after trying this toy I don’t really know why this never occurred to me. The weight of the toy is what makes it so prominent.
Sometimes with insertable toys I feel this vague awkwardness in the beginning, like I feel it but I don’t at the same time. The Pure Wand is not like this, it’s immediate. And the Pure Wand is beloved by many (though not all) because it manages to do wonderful things without much effort. With the Comet Wand, the orgasm magic tends to come from thrusting with it or moving it back and forth rather vigorously. The Pure Wand is slick so thrusting is easy but I don’t even really have to exert myself in doing so.
I do think that i might have specific downfalls for some folks: it is heavy, stainless steel can seem overwhelming (and perhaps is to some peeps), and its bulbous head might give folks with pubic bone issues some trouble.
I was a bit overwhelmed by the thought of stainless steel myself. This changed when I used it and realized I masturbating with steel.
I still love you Comet Wand I do, but the Pure Wand is something else entirely. I highly recommend it to folks looking for a solid (very solid) G-Spot or Prostate toys or non-vibrating toy in general.
